Visit the Detroit Ranger and Forestry stations. They have great hiking tips – amateur to advanced. There are hidden lakes and beautiful trails to be explored. Breitonbush Hot springs is only 10 miles away.

Annual events: The Detroit Lake Fishing Derby in May kicks off the beginning of summer. June is the month for the famous Sisters rodeo. And of course there is the spectacular 4th of July fireworks over the lake.
